Strategic Entrepreneurship Plan

The year 2020 has been an important year, with the renewal of the University Academic Plan (2020-2025) and the arrival of a new Vice-President, Research & Innovation, both of which have provided an opportunity for reflection and re-visioning of who we are at York. As a community we have shown great strength and resilience as we responded and continue to respond to the COVD-19 pandemic. It is this willingness to adapt, to try new things, and to be innovative that demonstrates that York truly is an entrepreneurial institution.

Entrepreneurship is not just about creating start-up companies, at its essence entrepreneurship is about identifying challenges in the world and trying to solve them with new and innovative solutions. This is the essence of entrepreneurship at York; we are a community of change-makers who do not accept the status quo.

York's Strategic Entrepreneurship Plan provides us with an opportunity to create a foundation on which we can individually and collectively develop entrepreneurial initiatives across campus. Working together, we can elevate the work we do, the resources we access, and the opportunities we provide to our students, faculty members, and community members.
