VR: How Many Pixels & How Fast? @ YL 280N, York Lanes, York University
Mar 1 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Join us for PASTA as you hear about the latest trends in virtual reality!

This seminar will examine some of the issues consumer VR has faced moving from rough prototypes a few years ago, to a volume product today. Building on a base of PC gaming engines and cell phone parts sounded easy, but VR is actually much harder to do well than regular gaming. Issues such as cost, comfort, content availability and mass-produced parts all interact with immersion and storytelling. Behind the tech are important human factors ranging from discomfort to audio clues.

PRESENTER
